GLP-1 NUTRITION SUPPORT & SIDE EFFECTS CARE
Support for Your Clinical Work Rooted in Curiosity, Compassion, and Liberation
As a virtual dietitian, Chelsea provides GLP-1 nutrition support to help individuals navigate side effects, maintain adequate nourishment, and support overall health while using these medications.
GLP-1 receptor agonists—such as Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy, and Zepbound—are increasingly used across a range of health conditions. While these medications can offer meaningful benefits in certain medical contexts, they also come with important nutritional, gastrointestinal, and psychological considerations.
At Chelsea Levy Nutrition, this service is grounded in a clear, weight-inclusive stance: Chelsea does not prescribe or recommend GLP-1 medications for weight loss. These medications are often contraindicated in eating disorder recovery, as appetite suppression, rapid changes in intake, and body-focused outcomes can interfere with healing and increase risk.
At the same time, we recognize that people are already being prescribed or are taking these medications for a variety of reasons. This service exists to support harm reduction, informed consent, and nutritional adequacy—meeting you where you are, without judgment.
GLP-1 Support for Diabetes Care
(Ozempic, Mounjaro)
For individuals using GLP-1 medications as part of diabetes management, nutrition care focuses on supporting metabolic health while protecting nourishment and overall well-being.
While these medications can improve glycemic outcomes, they may also lead to reduced appetite, early fullness, or GI symptoms that impact adequate intake.
Our work together may include:
Supporting blood sugar stability alongside medication use
Preventing under-fueling and minimizing hypoglycemia risk
Preserving lean body mass and strength
Maintaining consistent, adequate nourishment despite appetite changes
Collaborating with your medical team as needed
Care is evidence-based and weight-inclusive prioritizing your health, energy, and sustainability over weight-driven goals.

GLP-1 Side Effects & Harm Reduction Support (Non-Diabetes Use)
(Wegovy, Zepbound and others used outside of diabetes care)
For individuals who are taking or have taken GLP-1 medications for non-diabetes reasons, this service provides a supportive space to navigate side effects, complications, and nutritional concerns without reinforcing weight stigma or diet culture.
Many people experience appetite suppression, early satiety, nausea, reflux, constipation, or diarrhea, which can make it difficult to meet nutritional needs or maintain a stable relationship with food.
You might benefit from this support if you are:
Struggling to eat enough or unsure if your intake is adequate
Experiencing persistent digestive symptoms
Feeling fatigued, weak, or undernourished
Noticing a disruption in hunger/fullness cues
Experiencing a worsening of disordered eating patterns or body image distress
